Sign up to support the development of Susana Paiva’s iPad app

AppSlides/Bite! magazine and Susana Paiva are building an iPad app for Susana’s beautiful audioslideshow Ceci n’est pas Paris. Please support this project by signing up for its dedicated newsletter. Both the artist and ourselves will be hugely grateful if you do!

Ceci n’est pas Paris comprises sixteen engaging photographs of dreamlike Paris cityscapes, in which people and buildings merge, with audio and custom animated slide transitions. It is an intriguing photo essay that you will revisit time and time again. Having it on your iPad means you can easily share it with your friends!

The app will be a tier one paid app, priced at $0.99. Signing up does not create a legal obligation to download the app once it is released. We understand you may change your mind, but hope you won’t. We will use your email to keep you informed on this project and on other photo essay apps of AppSlides/Bite! magazine. We are anti-spam and will not share your email address with anybody else.

About this project

Susana Paiva: Ceci n’est pas Paris is my latest photo series where, revisiting several places in Paris, I’ve indulged in creating dreamlike images, ethereal, close to the imaginary of Hiroshi Sugimoto’s “Architecture” series, with René Magritte’s observation in “Ceci n’est pas une pipe,” (This is not a pipe) to create a new iconography for the City of Lights. If, as Magritte states, the image is not reality but only one possible representation of it, why not create images representing the dreams, the imagination, the primal primitive shapes that mental images are? Below is a sample photograph from this project.
